The Power of Discipline

What

The five disciplines are the practice part of the RedShift change model. You can do them on your own or with facilitation. Discipline puts the learning into action in the day-to-day and often nitty-gritty problem solving and decision making. What it means is that you respond differently to what comes up, in your personal and/or business life. When those response are repeated they become habits. When that happens you’re not just theorizing change, your living up to it.

Why

This model is about alignment and taking full authority for creating a desired experience in the present moment.

Its different from many typical coaching approaches. Setting goals, making resolutions and formulating plans mean you’re coming from the vantage point of the one who wants something he or she does not have but can will or visualize into manifestation. These kinds of models, from which most egoic structures are derived, presume we’re the effect of and separate from the field, or a greater intelligence. They don’t go deep and result in temporary benefits due to ego strengthening.

This model presumes we’re the cause and one with the field, or a greater intelligence. In other words, one with life and all in this together. It goes much deeper and beyond the ego to discover essential truth and inner purpose. In other words, that which gives us lasting peace, joy and fulfillment that was always our birthright but from which we became disconnected but can reclaim.
